Biography

Tina Weirather was born to be an athlete with a career in skiing. As the daughter of ski racers Hanni Wenzel from Liechtenstein and Harti Weirather from Austria, it was only natural that at the age of three, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, there was only one correct answer: "I want to become a ski racer!" Tina Weirather was born in Vaduz and competed for Liechtenstein, but also has Austrian citizenship. Her greatest successes were the Bronze medal in the Super-G at the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Games, Silver medal in the Super-G at the 2017 World Championships in St. Moritz and two Crystal Globes in Super-G in 2017 and 2018. Tina Weirather has stood on top of the podium nine times in the World Cup - seven times in the Super-G, and once each in the Downhill and Giant Slalom. At the end of her racing career, she remains active in skiing as a HEAD brand ambassador, and on Swiss Television as a skiing expert in the studio and helmet cam skier on the piste.
