Biography

In the fast lane. Dominik Schwaiger started his World Cup career in the technical disciplines. The German athlete made his debut in October 2011 in the Giant Slalom in Sölden. In February 2014, he scored his first World Cup points in 21st place in the Giant Slalom in St. Moritz. It was also in a technical discipline that Dominik Schwaiger achieved his best World Cup result so far: he finished fourth in the Parallel Giant Slalom in Alta Badia in December 2015. In summer 2016 he joined the German skiing team speed training group. He first competed in the World Cup in Downhill and Super-G in the winter of 2016. In 2019 he qualified for his first World Cup. He met expectations finishing in 15th place in the Super-G in Aare. Dominik inherited the ski racing gene from his father Michael, who used to compete in World Cup races himself. His hobbies include football and climbing.
