Agustín Gutiérrez, known in the padel world as “La Oveja,” is an Argentine player who has made a lasting impact on the professional circuit. Born in San Luis on January 7, 1998, Agustín comes from a family deeply connected to padel. His parents managed a sports club with three padel courts, and his uncle is none other than the legendary Sanyo Gutiérrez, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
After reaching the No. 1 ranking in Argentina in 2017, Agustín moved to Spain to compete on the World Padel Tour, aiming to challenge himself against the world’s best and establish his place on the international stage. Since then, he has been a regular presence in the main draws of top tournaments.
One of the highlights of his career came in late 2022, when he reached the semifinals of the Torrent Challenger in Spain’s Valencian Community. In 2025, Agustín continued his upward trajectory, advancing to the final of the FIP Silver Leiria Master Padel alongside Josete Rico. Although they narrowly missed the title, the result reinforced his reputation as one of the most promising players on tour.
Agustín’s game is defined by his aggressiveness and speed, as well as his work ethic and consistency. He endorses the Extreme Motion racquet, which reflects the balance of power, stability, and control that characterizes his playing style. Today, he competes fully equipped in HEAD gear from head to toe.
