Luis Hernández’s connection to padel began in childhood, accompanying his older brother Álex and father Ángel to padel and tennis clubs to watch them train. While waiting, he would rally with his mother Pepi, gradually developing a passion that would shape his life. He started taking tennis and padel lessons from his father and soon began competing in tennis tournaments in Castilla-La Mancha. However, it was in padel that he found his true path. By age 14, he was already competing in Spain’s national junior padel circuit.
Standing 5’9” (1.76 m) and playing left-handed, Luis has always been recognized for his dynamic and aggressive style. His performances in high-level tournaments have helped him establish a strong presence among the top players on the circuit.
Academically, Luis earned a degree in Law and a Master’s in Legal Practice, completing his studies at age 23. Since then, he has devoted himself entirely to his professional padel career. Off the court, he enjoys fishing and mountain activities, hobbies he shares with family and friends.
One of his notable sporting achievements was reaching the quarterfinals of the P2 Finlandia alongside his close friend Íñigo Jofre, a milestone he remembers with pride. In the near term, his goal is to secure a position among the seeded players in major tournaments—a challenge he approaches with dedication, effort, and enthusiasm.
Luis Hernández endorses HEAD gear from head to toe and promotes the Extreme Pro racquet, known for its power and performance.
