Lara Gut-Behrami races to the podium in the Giant Slalom

Yet another headliner performance by Lara Gut-Behrami! The HEAD athlete finished second in the Giant Slalom in Kronplatz, finishing among the top three in three different disciplines within four days. In the men's Night Slalom in Schladming Alexis Pinturault extended his overall lead in the World Cup finishing in third place.

Second on Saturday in the Downhill in Crans Montana, victory on Sunday in the Super-G in Crans Montana and now second on Tuesday in the Giant Slalom in Kronplatz. With these three results, Lara Gut-Behrami made it clear that she is still a force to be reckoned with in the overall World Cup. She is currently in third place after 20 of 33 races, 136 points behind the leader Petra Vlhova.

In the Giant Slalom in Kronplatz, the Swiss athlete was in fourth place after the first run. The 29-year-old then put in a superb performance to fight her way up to second place on the second run. "It took a long time to get everything running smoothly again. I know that if the confidence is there, then I can dare to ski fast. When I feel good on these skis, I'm happy to let them run. That's a huge difference compared to recent years," explained Lara Gut-Behrami.

More HEAD athletes notching up the points: Sara Hector from Sweden who finished in tenth place, Ragnhild Mowinckel from Norway in 18th place, Camille Rast from Switzerland with bib number 50 in 21st place, Elena Curtoni from Italy 22nd, Coralie Frasse-Sombet from France 23rd, Franziska Gritsch from Austria 24th and Corinne Suter from Switzerland 27th.
