Daniel Windahl joins HEAD

The best ranked Swede in padel, Daniel Windahl, signs multiyear contract with HEAD. The humble and hardworking 26-year-old from Helsingborg in the south of Sweden can now call HEAD star Arturo Coello his team mate.

HEAD, the global sporting brand with a focus on delivering high-performance products across a variety of athletic disciplines add another athlete to their successful international padel team as Sweden’s raising star Daniel Windahl signs with the company.

“The global development of padel is very interesting. Even though the best players still originate from a limited number of countries it’s important for us to increase our presence on more markets and Daniel is a perfect example of that. He knows what it takes to succeed and has all the requirements to make it. We’re really looking forward to working with him” says Thomas Bischof, Director Pro Players and Product Test Management at HEAD Racquetsport.

Daniel Windahl’s strong performance during last year led to a big leap forward on the world ranking, and there is no slowdown in sight. The Swede will now continue his climb to the top together with HEAD as he switches to the Austrian brand from head to toe.

“The end of 2022 was both intense and joyful, and right now everything feels really good. HEAD was at the top of my list as I started this process. They have long experience in delivering world-class equipment and I am convinced that they are the right partner for me moving forward” says a happy Daniel Windahl.

HEAD have been successful on the Swedish padel market but so far they haven’t had a local hero on the team. Daniel, who started his career in racquet sport with tennis, is currently ranked 64 on the WPT ranking, but the target is considerably higher. For Swedish padel it’s obviously important to produce talented players who can assert themselves internationally, not least to inspire young people to invest in the sport.
