Biography

Jessica is a freeride athlete from Ohakune, New Zealand and Freeride World Tour Champion 2022. She skied with her parents from the age of four and spent a few years with Turoa Race Team before switching over to freeriding with her friends. In 2017 she came third in the New Zealand North Face Frontier 4* competition and spent the following few seasons collecting FWQ points and expanding her freeride skillset across North America, Europe and Oceania. She won gold at Kicking Horse Golden BC 2020 on her first year of the Freeride World Tour, ranking fourth overall. Then in 2022 she got back on the same podium and won silver, adding to her collection of two golds from Ordino Arcalís and Fieberbrunn. Resilient and committed to the sport, Jess is the first athlete from New Zealand to win a FWT champion title. From season 2022/23 onwards, Jess extended her contract to sportswear, trusting HEAD completely on her adventures. As part of her new collaboration with HEAD sportswear, she will develop an exclusive midlayer which she will wear for her powder adventures, hoping to build on an exhilarating, historic year 2022.
