Biography

Kajsa Vickhoff Lie started skiing at the age of ten, which is relatively late. And she says, "I fell in love with the speed right away". Now the Norwegian athlete enjoys her life on the World Cup circuit, and is attracting more and more attention with her results. Kajsa Vickhoff Lie celebrated her World Cup debut in January 2017 in the Downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. She bagged points for the first time in December 2017 in the Downhill event in Lake Louise, and podiumed for the first time in January 2021 when she finished second in the Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Career highlights so far were in 2023 at the World Championships in Courchevel/Méribel, when Kajsa Vickhoff Lie won the Bronze medal in the Super-G. On the 4th of March 2023, she won her first World Cup race in the Downhill in Kvitfjell, and celebrated being the first female Norwegian athlete to win a World Cup Downhill event. At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Davos she put in an impressive performance: Gold in Downhill and Super-G, Silver in the Team event. In her spare time she loves water sports, tennis and good food.
