Biography

Billy was born and raised in Melbourne and was taught to ski age two by his ski instructor dad. His home hill is Mount Hotham in the Victorian Alps but he has spent the past ten seasons travelling the globe in search of deep powder, pillow lines and cliffs to drop. As a child he loved trampolining and gymnastics, standing on the podium at the Australian State Championship 2013, age 15. His balance and coordination in the air transferred perfectly to freeride skiing, and his combined skills make him a formidable athlete. He has carved his place in ski history by being the first to double backflip the Jackson Hole road gap and superman front flip the Sugar Bowl at the Remarkables, to name a few. His passion for big mountain skiing led him to the Freeride World Qualifier circuit where he has been competing since 2019. And when the snow stops falling in the northern hemisphere, he heads back to his home hill down under. In summer he loves the freedom of van life, surfing and mountain biking.
