Biography
Carl is a Swedish skier born and raised in Östersund. One of three brothers, he is a skilled gymnast and freestyle skier who calls Åre his home hill. He spent a lot of his youth in the snowpark developing his signature playful style and quickly progressed to freeride, winning his first Scandinavian Big Mountain Championship in 2015. The following year he started racking up Freeride World Qualifier points at competitions across Europe and his hard work paid off in 2018 when he was offered a season Wild Card for the Freeride World Tour. That season he took a second gold at the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships and his success continued to build with an overall third place in the FWT 2021 rankings. In 2022 Carl won silver in Fieberbrunn and bronze at the Xtreme Verbier finale, securing second place overall. Whether he is backflipping his way down the Bec des Rosses in Verbier, or any mountain he can find, Carl seamlessly blends freestyle tricks with big mountain skiing.
