Biography
Izzy is a British-American freestyle skier born in Boston, USA, to an English father and Malaysian mother. She learned to ski at age three on Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine and began competing in freestyle events at age nine. This included moguls and aerials along with free skiing disciplines of slopestyle, halfpipe and big air. Izzy joined the GB Park and Pipe team in 2014 and became the first British woman to win a ski Slopestyle World Cup in 2017 at Silvaplana, Switzerland. In 2018 she won Britain’s first Olympic skiing medal, a bronze in Slopestyle at Pyeongchang. This was followed by Big Air bronze at the 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2021 X Games in Slopestyle. Her combined accolades make her the first British athlete to reach the podium at the Olympics, X-Games, World Cup and World Championships. Her home hill is Park City, Utah, and off the slopes she majors in Physics and loves tearing up trails on her mountain bike.
