The world’s best female padel player on current rankings has signed up with HEAD and we couldn’t be happier. Paula Josemaría Martín who plays with the diamond shaped Delta Motion will remain with HEAD.

Josemaría said: “HEAD have been with me throughout my padel career, they are like friends to me, and as the racquet is the most important piece of equipment for a padel player I’m really pleased to continue my association with the company.”

The 25-year-old from Extremadura in Spain played tennis until she was 17 and switched relatively late to padel. She was Spanish and European champion in 2019, and in 2021 she topped off with the World Padel Tour’s Master final. Last year she won five WPT tournaments and in 2023 she has won three so far.

Ottmar Barbian, HEAD’s executive vice-president for Racquetsports, added: “As padel continues its rapid rise in popularity, we are delighted to have a wonderful ambassador in Paula and it’s a great sign that she has signed up with us. We are showing that HEAD is an integral part of this growing sport.”

Josemaría carries the nickname ‘Dynamite’ as her left-handed game allows her to hit a three-metre smash and which brings gasps of admiration from padel fans.
