Head signs Amanda Sobhy, the great hope of American Squash

New York, January 2019: HEAD, the global sporting brand with a focus on delivering high-performance products across a variety of athletic disciplines, just announced the signing of a long-term agreement with Amanda Sobhy (25), the rising Squash star from Boston, Ma., USA. Sobhy is the most successful American Squash player of all times. “We are extremely excited to welcome Amanda to our global squad of successful squash players,” says Pasquale Ruzicka, Global Business Manager Squash at HEAD, “she will help us promote our line of high-performance Squash racquets and accessories in the growing US market. We look forward to a successful collaboration.” At 25, Sobhy can already look back at an impressive career. She was the first-ever American to win the World Junior Championships in 2010. In 2014, she collected various titles at PSA tournaments around the globe and broke into the Top 10 of the PSA rankings for the first time. The Harvard graduate was also named the PSA Women’s Young Player of the Year in 2015. Thrown back by an injury in 2016, she has since regained her form and is currently rising through the rankings, aiming to once again break into the Top 10. With HEAD at her side she now has the right partner to support her ambitions.
