„That was a perfect weekend. We saw that not everything works out the way so many experts think. Camille Rast proved in both races that she can beat everybody. This victory on Sunday was all the more satisfying, and she delivered a brilliant performance on both days. Following her injury, she is back where she belongs,“ said HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber. „For Wendy Holdener, this is a very special podium after her wipe-out just seconds before crossing the line in Courchevel. She is getting better and better from one race to the next. This is an outstanding achievement for her.“

„I am happy to finally be in front in the Giant Slalom as well“

Camille Rast started the second run of the Giant Slalom in the lead. Clocking the third-fastest time on run two secured her first World Cup victory in this discipline. A week previously in Semmering, the Swiss athlete finished second, just missing her first victory in the Giant Slalom. In the discipline ranking, Camille Rast is now in second place behind Julia Scheib. „It feels good to be on the podium. It definitely wasn't easy. I am very satisfied that I was able to put in my best performance in two Giant Slalom races back-to-back. It was a difficult week, because this sport brings out so many emotions. I tried to perform as best I can. I felt I was lagging a bit on the final slope and thought that it is going to be very close. When I saw the green display as I crossed the line, I was suddenly happy to be finally in front in the Giant Slalom as well,“ said Camille Rast at the finish.

Sara Hector narrowly misses the podium

Just three hundredths of a second were all that was between Sara Hector and third place. The Swedish athlete was in sixth place after the first run, and clocked the fastest time on the second run. World Cup points were also celebrated by Doriane Escane from France in 17th place, Estelle Alphand from Sweden and Lena Dürr from Germany, who shared 18th place, Stephanie Brunner from Austria 21st, Wendy Holdener from Switzerland 23rd, A J Hurt from the USA in 25th place, and Ilaria Ghisalberti from Italy in 28th place. For Doriane Escane, who started the race with bib number 51, this is her best World Cup result so far.

Two HEAD World Cup Rebels on the podium in the Slalom

Camille Rast confirmed her top form at the moment with two brilliant runs, clocking the fastest time on both of them in the Slalom on Sunday. This is the Swiss athlete's third victory in the Slalom following Killington in December 2024 and Flachau in January 2025. „It was a really cool run,“ said Camille Rast. „It's incredible it worked out. The set-up and the equipment work well.“ Wendy Holdener raced to her first podium of the season in third place. The 32-year-old Swiss athlete skied the third-fastest time on both runs.

The best World Cup result for Dzenifera Germane

Three more HEAD World Cup Rebels finished in the top ten in the Slalom: Dzenifera Germane from Latvia was seventh, Emma Aicher from Germany was eighth, and Anna Swenn-Larsson from Sweden finished ninth. This is the best result in the World Cup for Dzenifera Germane so far. Points were also bagged by Lena Dürr in eleventh place, A J Hurt 13th, Sara Hector 14th, Cornelia Öhlund from Sweden 15th, Estelle Alphand 17th, and Eliane Christen from Switzerland 23rd.
