Ksenia Sharifova was born on Sakhalin Island, Russia, a remote and cold place far removed from the padel courts where she now competes. Her connection to sports began at a young age with tennis, which led her to move to Valencia at 16.

For several years, she balanced tennis with her studies in Business Administration, until 2020, when she met Marco Lucas, the coach who would change the course of her career. He encouraged her to try padel and recognized her potential to reach the top of the sport.

Sharifova’s progression has been rapid. She began by winning regional championships in the Valencian Community and soon attracted attention on the professional circuit. She became the first Russian player to reach a main draw in the World Padel Tour, advancing to the round of 16 at the Marbella Master. She later achieved even greater milestones, including quarterfinal appearances in prestigious Premier Padel tournaments such as the Doha and Rome Majors, and notable performances at iconic venues like Roland Garros and Rotterdam.

Today, Sharifova is the only Russian player on the professional circuit, a role she carries with pride and responsibility. She competes fully equipped in HEAD gear and endorses the Radical Motion racquet. Her playing style is defined by offensive aggression and powerful smashes.
