Biography
"Live your dreams!" Alexis Pinturault is a real all-rounder. He notched up 34 World Cup victories by the end of the 2021/22 season - in the Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super-G and, of course, in the Combined. His career highlight to date dates back to the 2020/21 season, when the French athlete bagged the Crystal Globe for winning the overall World Cup. In addition, there was the Crystal Globe for the Giant Slalom World Cup 2020/21 and six Crystal Globes in the Combined event. Alexis Pinturault has also already celebrated two World Championship Golds. And five more medals from the Olympic Games and the World Championships. Alexis Pinturault has a French father and a Norwegian mother. He first took to the slopes near the family hotel Annapurna in Courchevel. As a kid, Alexis Pinturault took part in many sports - tennis, fencing, wakeboarding, ice hockey and several martial arts. For 15 years he went skiing and played football, until deciding to pursue a career in skiing in 2006. His motto in life: "Live your dreams!" Which he is now doing together with his wife Romane, whom he married in 2017.
