The world's number one with 82 World Cup victories. A list of successes that could hardly be any longer in skiing: during her career Lindsey Vonn won an Olympic Gold medal, two World Cup titles, four overall World Cup victories and 16 Crystal Globes. She also won World Cup races in all the disciplines. And when it comes to World Cup wins, Lindsey Vonn is in a class of her own. The American athlete stood on top of the World Cup podium 82 times. That is the world record by a long way. And there is another impressive fact worth mentioning: at her home resort Lake Louise, Lindsey Vonn won an incredible 18 World Cup races. In her private life she puts a lot of work into good causes. The Lindsey Vonn Foundation is designed to "give women the confidence to move mountains." Lindsey Vonn also supports the Wings for Life project and the Wounded Warriors project.
