Biography

2023 was a very special year for Lena Dürr. The Slalom specialist celebrated her first victory in her favourite discipline in Spindleruv Mlyn on the 29th of January - exactly ten years after her début World Cup victory in the Parallel discipline in Moscow. Less than a month later, she won the Bronze medal in the Slalom at the World Championships in Courchevel/Méribel. The German athlete finished in second place overall in the 2023/24 Slalom World Cup. Representing Germany at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022, she celebrated winning Silver in the Team event. Lena Dürr also won two World Championship Bronze medals at Team events in Schladming in 2013 and in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2021. She is a customs guard, and is a member of the German customs ski team. Her role model is part of the family: her father Peter was also a successful skier. Lena Dürr comes from Munich, but lives in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After all, a ski athlete naturally feels at home in the mountains.
