Carmen Goenaga started competing in federation tournaments at the age of 10. For a while she combined basketball with paddle tennis, but it was her family’s passion for the sport along with that of her brother Enrique that encouraged her to take up paddle tennis exclusively.
During her time as a junior player she won the Spanish and World Championships, and her greatest achievement on the World Padel Tour was reaching the final of the WPT Albacete Challenger in 2021, not forgetting that she entered the WPT main draw at just 14 years of age. Today, her biggest goal is to reach the semifinals of the WPT and make it to the top 20 of the world rankings.
Carmen currently splits her training between Valladolid and Salamanca, while studying a degree in Business Administration, and in her free time she enjoys listening to music and exploring the cities she visits. She has great things to say about the quality of HEAD’s material, especially the Speed Motion, the ideal racquet for attacking with speed.
